About Nakano College

History

Nakano College, a Japanese-founded institution, traces its origins back to its inception by High Priest Ven. Shushyo Koyso Thera and Ven. Anuradha Nakano Theri. Under the directorship of Ven. kumburugamuwe Soratha Thero, the college began its journey as an English medium, co-educational institute.

The establishment of Nakano Pre-school on September 6, 2005, marked the initial step in providing education to the community. Subsequently, on September 6, 2009, Nakano College was officially founded in Alubomulla with a modest number of students and two dedicated teachers.

Over the years, Nakano College has evolved, becoming a registered Cambridge school and distinguished as the sole educational institution offering Cambridge primary qualifications. This unique offering reflects the college's commitment to providing a comprehensive education that encompasses both national and international standards.

Today, Nakano College continues to thrive, serving as a beacon of learning and excellence in education, with a curriculum that integrates both National and Cambridge qualifications, ensuring students receive a well-rounded education that prepares them for success in the global arena.
